A few simple things to know before your visit — and how to care for your skin afterward.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Arrival.
10 MIN EARLY
Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. If you'd like to enjoy your free skin consultation (face scanning), come 15 minutes early. Street parking and designated K Beauty Lab spaces are available.
Etiquette.
A QUIET SPACE
We provide house slippers, or you may bring clean socks. As a courtesy to other guests, please keep young children at home with a trusted loved one, and silence phones in the lab.
LASER TREATMENT — PREP
Laser treatments require careful preparation for safety and best results. Please follow these guidelines:
DAY OF
— No makeup — Cleanly shaved (if needed)
4 WEEKS BEFORE
— No sun-tanning, self-tanners, or sun exposure
1–2 WEEKS BEFORE
— Avoid waxing, depilatories, or other irritating treatments
IMPORTANT
— Notify us of any health changes or new medications — History of herpes may require an anti-viral prescription

AFTERCARE
Caring for your skin afterward.
PROTECT
Use broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen daily. Avoid direct sun exposure to prevent further damage.
AVOID FOR 1–2 DAYS
Heat — hot tubs, saunas, intense workouts.
SKIP FOR A FEW DAYS
Skin irritants — tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents.
EXPECT
Mild bruising, redness, or swelling may occur and resolve naturally.
CONTACT YOUR PHYSICIAN
If you experience blistering, excessive redness, or unusual swelling, please notify your physician.
